Pretty little Star is slowly but surely learning how to shine! She really is trying her best. We were first alerted to Star back in May after a lovely young couple heard crying coming from inside a stack of tyres in their garden. Star, a beautiful but very nervous calico tortie, had just given birth to four kittens! We have no background history for her but suggest that previously she has had a home but how much she was loved and appreciated - we wonder? Star’s fosterers have been working on gaining her confidence and helping her to trust them – it’s slow progress but all the steps are in the right direction and they’re doing a great job! Here’s what they have to say about Star: “Star’s a gentle, shy, inquisitive and vocal girl who very much enjoys food, company, and looking out of the window. She’s very interested in watching the outdoors, but doesn’t attempt to go there. The birds and squirrels fascinate her! She loves to play either alone or with us, and enjoys strokes as well. She’s very vocal when she wants attention! She touched me gently today for the first time, putting both her front paws on my leg. She is starting to want to brush against me when I get down to pet her”.

We don’t think that previous experience of cat ownership is vital, however Star needs someone who is patient and who is prepared to give her time to settle and appreciate the good things in life connected with living with loving humans. We feel that children, especially young ones, would be too much for Star at the moment. Can this little star light up your life?

Star is now neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
