Welcome to your local Cats Protection!![]() Caring for cats in the Trafford area Trafford Cats Protection was formed in 1990, formally known as Manchester Action for Cats. Trafford branch is completey self funding. We are responsible for raising the funds necessary to carry out our invaluable work required in the area. How many cats we help depends on how much money we raise. We are a relatively small branch and operate with just seven committee members, eight fosterers and about twenty helpers. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and rehome on average about 140 cats and kittens each year. Our separate foster homes cater for tiny kittens and their mums, larger kittens, homeable adult neutered cats needing treatment. We also care for feral cats, assisting in their neutering and provision of food.
