Trafford Cats Protection was formed in 1990, formally known as Manchester Action for Cats. Trafford branch is completey self funding. We are responsible for raising the funds necessary to carry out our invaluable work required in the area. How many cats we help depends on how much money we raise.
We are a relatively small branch and operate with just seven committee members, ten fosterers and about twenty-one helpers. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and rehome on average about 100 cats and kittens each year.
Our separate foster homes cater for tiny kittens and their mums, larger kittens, homeable adult neutered cats needing treatment. We also care for feral cats, assisting in their neutering and provision of food.

Cats Protection is currently offering a £5 neutering scheme in designated areas including Trafford.

A neuterered cat is less likely to catch life threatening diseases such as FIV and FeLV these diseases are transmitted through saliva, often during cat fights. Neutered cats are less aggressive and so fight less.

Can you give Kitty a home?Kitty is about 5 years old, a friendly and playful tabby and white young cat. She needs to be an only pet as she loves people but not other animals. She would also appreciate access to a garden.
